0:02 S0 ... this mission. God bless. Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you very much. It's great. 0:06 S0 I think before I, uh, ask Scott to say a couple of words, 0:11 S0 uh, it'd be great if people like the mayor of Chicago 0:20 S0 and the governor of Illinois would say, "Please come in and stop the crime." 0:27 S0 A beautiful young lady was killed the other day, 0:33 S0 and the father was a very good friend of Dan Scavino. 0:37 S1 Mm-hmm. And, uh, he took it very hard. Dan took it very hard. He liked the father, friends. 0:43 S0 They grew up together. 0:45 S0 And it's a young lady, 0:48 S0 uh, who, whose life would be saved if we had... 0:54 S0 if we did what we did as an example in Washington, DC, which is now a safe city. 1:00 S0 All the time, people come up to me in the building, people that work here. 1:03 S0 They say, "Thank you so much." I know immediately what they're talking about. 1:06 S0 They're able to walk to work. They walk to work. You all walk to work. 1:09 S0 Some of you were mugged. 1:10 S0 I know 'cause you told me stories. Some of you were mugged. 1:13 S0 One person in particular was viciously mugged, uh, in the group right here. It's not happening anymore. 1:20 S0 You have a safe city. 1:22 S0 Uh, Louisiana, the governor of Louisiana called me. 1:25 S0 "Can you help me with New Orleans?" They just had the Mardi Gras. 1:28 S0 He said, "It was the safest Mardi Gras we've ever had." Sounds terrible to say, no murders. 1:34 S0 You know, it sounds like, who would say this, no murders? But they always had murders. 1:38 S0 They had a lot of crime during Mardi Gras. 1:40 S0 He said, "Virtually no crime." We had the troops down there. 1:44 S0 Uh, Memphis, Tennessee, I just got back. We were there. 1:47 S0 Crime is down 75% in a short period of time. We were there five months. 1:53 S0 We could do that for Chicago. 1:54 S0 We could do that for New York. 1:55 S0 We could do that for LA. 1:58 S0 And we could do that for, frankly, San Francisco. 2:01 S0 I know they have a mayor who's trying very hard. 2:02 S0 He's a Democrat, but he's trying very hard. 2:05 S0 But we could do it much more effectively 'cause he can't do what we do. 2:09 S0 He can't take people out from the city and bring them to... 2:14 S0 back to the country from where they came, where they were in prisons. 2:18 S0 They were allowed to go in prisons. 2:20 S0 There were drug dealers, the highest level of drug dealers, murderers, 11,888 murders. 2:26 S0 We do things that they can't do. 2:29 S0 I had friends calling me up from San Francisco. 2:31 S0 "Could you give him a chance?" I said, "Absolutely. 2:33 S0 If you want him, we'll give him a chance." And he's, he's trying. 2:36 S0 He's doing okay, but we could do much better. 2:39 S0 We could make it a lot safer than it is. 2:40 S0 San Francisco, uh, uh, a great city, was a great city, could quickly become a great city again. 2:47 S0 But, you know, they're going very slowly. 2:49 S0 Uh, I tell my friends are very substantial people. 2:53 S0 They're in a certain business where people have made a lot of money. 2:57 S0 I don't know, I hope that lasts. 2:59 S0 But they have a, a, a tremendous, uh, tremendous potential. 3:03 S0 It was one of the greatest cities in the world. 3:05 S0 Now it's got a lot of crime. 3:07 S0 And the mayor is really trying. Again, a Democrat trying. And I spoke to him. 3:11 S0 He just wants to have a chance. 3:13 S0 And I said, "We'll give you a chance, but we can solve it very quickly." 3:17 S0 This young lady would be around today if we were around, 3:25 S0 because we have nobody coming through our border. 3:27 S0 I mean, literally, for nine months, it's zero. 3:29 S0 Uh, um, it's hard to believe that that number can be possible, 'cause millions of people came in through Biden. 3:35 S0 But nobody even tries. 3:36 S0 We don't have the caravans of thousands, 25, 30,000 people pouring into our border. They come up in caravans. 3:45 S0 We don't have caravans anymore. There's no such thing anymore. 3:48 S0 It's a name that I think I developed, but somebody developed it, but I think it was me. 3:51 S0 I thought it was an appropriate name. 3:53 S0 Thousands of people would come up and just barge into our country, totally unchecked, totally unvetted. 4:00 S0 And this man came in, Dan, right? 4:03 S0 And he came in through the ridiculous open border of Biden. 4:09 S0 If we were there, the election was rigged. What are you gonna do? He came back, big comeback. 4:16 S0 But if we were there, we wouldn't have had people coming through. It's amazing. 4:21 S0 You know, it's so easy now because everyone knows they're not getting through. We don't have any caravans. 4:25 S0 Once they know that, 4:27 S0 when it was easy to come through... 4:28 S0 When I heard that they had an open border policy, I said, "Boy, 4:32 S0 this is gonna be..." I, I couldn't believe it. But when it was actually... 4:35 S0 You know, it dawned on me because I had built 1,000 miles of wall, 4:41 S0 and we were finishing up some, and he didn't want to finish it up, Biden. 4:45 S0 I said, "They really do want to have an open border." And we got it finished. 4:51 S0 But that young lady would be alive today. 4:56 S0 And she'd be alive for another reason, because we would have the National Guard in Chicago, 5:02 S0 and in New York, and in other places. And they love doing it. It's like training. 5:07 S0 To be honest, it's actually training. 5:09 S0 I never want to take them out of DC. 5:11 S0 I mean, maybe somebody later on will do it, but I never want to take... 5:14 S0 You know, the people, they look, they say, "We feel so good. 5:17 S0 We feel so safe." We see these beautiful, strong people, and they, they're so nice. 5:23 S0 They help. 5:24 S0 They open the doors for people. They carry bags. 5:27 S0 They pick up paper when they see paper on the ground. You... I looked at DC. 5:32 S0 The... Last night, I drove to make a speech, and I drove through, 5:35 S0 and I said, "Take me this way, take me that way." The city's clean. The fences are down. 5:41 S0 You don't have homeless all over your parks. 5:43 S0 I mean, we had parks you couldn't... 5:44 S0 There was no room for anything else other than homeless. It's all clean and nice. 5:49 S0 It's gon- And it'll be even more beautiful in a year from now. 5:53 S0 And, uh, we have some projects that are great. 5:55 S0 This ballroom is gonna be something that's so beautiful for this city, 5:58 S0 so desperately needed by presidents.I mean, now it's, uh, no secret the military wanted it more than anybody. 6:06 S0 It was supposed to be secret, but it became un-secret because of people that are really unpatriotic, uh, saying things. 6:15 S0 But does it matter? Does it matter? It's gonna be great. 6:18 S0 We're building an arc, a triumphal arc, which will be incredible for the city. Incredible. 6:23 S0 We're fixing up the... what was the Kennedy Center. 6:26 S0 You know, they were, I was honored when the board changed the name a little bit. 6:30 S0 Actually, it shows that the Republican and the Democrats, they work together. 6:34 S0 It's really something we worked together. 6:36 S0 So, I think it's a great symbol actually. 6:39 S0 But we're doing a lot of work. 6:40 S0 That building's ready to fall down. 6:41 S0 It's in, it's in terrible shape. We're closing it. 6:44 S0 We're gonna open it with a bang. 6:45 S0 In less than two years, it'll come in under budget, ahead of schedule. That's what I do. 6:50 S0 It won't be like the Federal Reserve that's costing $4 billion or something there about. 6:55 S0 Think of it, $4 billion. You know, it's amazing. 7:00 S0 I said to the group before, I said, "Everything I do, 7:03 S0 I get sued." I build under budget, ahead of schedule. 7:08 S0 I get sued over a ballroom that's gonna be the most beautiful ballroom in the country. 7:11 S0 So desperately needed. 7:13 S0 You won't have to have tents sitting on the wet White House lawn. 7:17 S0 If it rains, you get wiped out. 7:19 S0 To honor the President of China or the President of France or the president of somewhere. 7:26 S0 Uh, you could have the greatest... 7:28 S0 Uh, we get sued by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. 7:33 S0 Uh, they don't know what they're doing. 7:36 S0 Then I just found out we got sued by that group and another group, 7:39 S0 I guess, on the, 7:40 S0 on the fixing up of, of... 7:44 S0 Again, I'll use the old name, 7:46 S0 Kennedy Center, because they're not fixing up Trump Kenne- what... 7:50 S0 It's gonna be beautiful when you add the name Trump.
