Prospects for Peace in Ukraine and Challenges for NATO

3:18

The ongoing efforts of European and American diplomacy offer, though do not guarantee, a chance to achieve peace or a ceasefire in Ukraine, which is of crucial importance from the Polish point of view. The upcoming declaration is to confirm the will for full transatlantic cooperation regarding security guarantees, support, and the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. In Paris, elements of a twenty-point peace plan will also be discussed, which until now has been kept secret, with its basis being leaks and speculation. However, one should not expect final decisions in Paris, and the signing of documents approving the common position may occur in the coming days, perhaps in Washington. An unforeseen topic alongside the Ukrainian issue has become the matter of Greenland, which has stirred significant emotions in Europe. For Poland, it is clear that no NATO member should attack or threaten another member of the alliance, as otherwise it would lose its purpose, and any disputes must be resolved through friendly dialogue.
